2009 Summer Camp Registration Begins Janurary 5, 2009!
TheatreWorks’ Summer Camps were inspired by our popular in-school residency program, Playing with Poetry. Both programs blend traditional theatre arts with language arts curriculum, all while maintaining a fun and playful atmosphere. During camp, participants work with talented, professional theatre artists. Daily workshops allow students to flex their writing muscles and begin developing acting, singing, and dancing skills. In addition, special guest artists give focused classes on topics such as costuming, storytelling, and Shakespeare. At the end of each two-week session, students perform original, ensemble-based plays that they, as a group, create in their writing classes. Camps are designed for students ages 5 – 12, and last two weeks. Specific dates and locations will be announced. Keep an eye on this webpage for more detailed information, as it becomes available.
